From the things that aren't there anymore series. This was the waiting area of the Corinthian Room Restaurant of the Strawbridge & Clothier restaurant on the 8th floor. Strawbridge was the last of the "old time" department stores in downtown Philadelphia to close its doors forever. Over the years, I spent many times at the restaurant after Christmas shopping or the occasional walk about for Clover day specials. I was very sorry to see it go.
