This is my mother's cutlery that she's used for the past 30 years. She has severe osteo-arthritus and can no longer do even simple things. Eventually, next year, she'll need to enter a long term care nursing home. These spoons, knives and forks were washed with care by her countless times since the 1970's. It's funny how ordinary items can take on such sentimentality by those like myself who see much more than cutlery.
